I recommend just looking up patterns that are only 2 (I think 3 might works too but it depends on the pattern) colors and then replace one of those colors with the metallic string and use the other one as any you like.

You should make #47994. I tried this pattern with multicoloured thread for stars and it turned out very well. I think it would go great with sparkly or metallic string for stars
