Hi! I saw similar questions like this here and I saw this tutorial.
https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/34_designing-normal-patterns/
But I still don't get it, in normal patterns we write letters but what are their full forms (I mean definitions) and how do I write the pattern I have drawn? ๐Ÿคฏ ๐Ÿคฏ ๐Ÿคฏ

In normal patterns there are four knot types: f (forwards knot), b (backwards knot), fb (forward backwards knot) and bf (backward forwards knot). You can also have left out knots (0).

When you write a normal pattern into the generator you do so row by row. Depending on how many strings your pattern has you need a different amount of knots per row.The knots of each row are divided by commas.

If the amount of strings is even you need half that amount of knots in the first row and half that amount minus one in the second row. If you had eight strings that would mean you would need four knots in the first row and three in the second.

If the amount of strings is uneven you need the amount minus one divided by two in each row. That means if your patter had seven strings you'd need three knots in each row.

The overall amount of rows has to be even. I recommend clicking safe whenever you have an even amount of rows to check for mistakes and to see how your pattern is doing.

You can either use the buttons at the top right of the generator or write the individual letters and commas manually.

I recommend to first draw your pattern onto graph paper like described in the tutorial. This will make it easier to put the pattern into the generator because you already have a clear image of how the pattern looks. Then you just go row by row and knot by knot and write it into the generator.

You add the colours in "colors used". Each box corresponds with a letter: the first letter is a, the second letter is b and so on.
You determine the order of the strings at the beginning of the pattern in "colors order". There you put in the corresponding letters in the order you want the strings to be at the beginning of your pattern.
