Merging colours in a variation

I was wondering how do you merge colours when trying to make a alpha variation, i know that it says that there can be 2 colours that are the same. Is there a way to do this or do I just not worry about it and just make the bracelet? #5051 is the pattern I am trying to make a variation of. thx

unfortunately, there is no way to merge colors in an alpha variation. iโd honestly just recommend to try and make the two colors close but distinguishable. then if you knot the alpha, you can just make the two colors the same. hope that helps! ๐

Or if you want you can start making variation, change colours to what you would like them to be (even same strings etc.), save it (do not submit!) and knot with open editor of pattern. I do this all the time!
