So I've been making a bunch of alphas today, but they're all from images, like I tweak them and make them better for patterns and stuff but for some reason I feel kind of like its cheating. -Will they get accepted if they're from photos? |

i get how you feel, i made my first pattern by just drawing it out, so i spent forever on it. i made my second pattern from an image and was a) really happy with how it turned out, and b) surprised by how much easier it was. at first i felt like it was cheating since it was so simple to make, but i got over it when i realized that itโll improve my patterns by a ton. patterns will get accepted if theyโre created from photos, as long as the colors in the pattern fit all the criteria needed to get accepted (colors canโt be too similar or too dark) ๐๐น๐ง

No itโs not really cheating because you really have to tweak the pattern the make it usable and it just in general is very helpful.

It is definitely not cheating. ๐In order for an alpha pattern that is made from an image to be accepted it needs to be tweaked. So there definitely goes work into it. You also need to pick a good size and a good amount of colours. So it's not as easy as you might think. ๐ |
