I would recommend watching Masha Knots video on alphas. And then making #1654 as ur first alpha.

If you're wanting to use the generator to make a pattern, you need to hover over your profile in the navbar and click "create patterns" then select alpha. I recommend using the "draw alpha" tab to make it like pixel art, but you can also upload an image and then clean it up to be used as a pattern as well. Make sure you save a lot because there is no undo feature so reverting to a previous version might make you lose a lot of progress if you don't. Either the FAQ or the tutorials tab might have more information and tips too!

personally I start with making all the colors i want and then entering all the letters (colors) once into the patterns(example of what it usually looks like: (If the - aren't the same length on all of the then you pattern won't properly save) ----------------abcdefg -------------------------- Then I click save and test so it saves all my colors. Then I click draw alpha (This option should be on the top of the screen and is the second option) then I adjust the size of my pattern depending on how big I want it. You can change the color by clicking on the color you want to use. You can adjust if you just want to do one pixel at a time or horisontal lines of verticle lines. You can also use the fill tool but be very careful with it and make sure you're always aware of what tool you're using. Tips: 1. Make sure you save and test often even though you can see your pattern and it's just pixel art it's still good to save in case something happens. 2. Be VERY careful when using the fill tool. One wrong click and you could ruin your whole pattern. 3. If you aren't going to save and test often at least make sure that you save and test when you're switching back and forth between alpha and draw alpha. 4. If the color isn't anywhere on the pattern it will delete itself. Hope this helped 😄 |

Here's a better example of what you --- should look like after your colors are placed:- - - - - - - - -bcdefg - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - All of the lines should be the same length (/same amount of characters so if each row is 10 - long than even the row with you colors should be 10 long. Example: 10 rows long without colors so if you have b, c, & e than 3 of those - would be letters and 7 - would still be - (random tip I forgot to say in the last one. A = - so whatever color you put for a is -. I usually use a/- for my main back-round color because it's like the default of the colors but you can make it whatever you want) |
