I love making alpha patterns but I do not understand how to even get started designing a normal pattern! Any recommendations on where to start?

iโd say just writing out or planning the pattern beforehand? itโs easier than having to type it out as youโre making it up. also, looking at patterns that are already created and kind of doing some research? look at how the person who made it structured their knots in the pattern, like when making a shape in the pattern. iโve personally never created a normal pattern, but it seems so much harder than making alphas ๐๐ธ๐

Draw any ideas you have out on graph paper to start and donโt worry about it looking good at first.

if you want to draw it out, you can look up normal pattern grid, and it should bring up a blank grid where you can draw out your design.

I also posted a forum with this problem cuz itโs hard to find inspo ๐ ๐ญThey recommended starting with choosing a color combination or making it inspired by a music artist or something or someone you like The people who gave me this advice was @mayrozen @meganff01 @danielle_3 (I really wanted to give credit to them because they really helped me and I have no brain cells that are capable of coming up with this advice ๐คช) ITS GONNA TURN OUT GREAT |
