1212 Pattern issue

I recently started my first 1212 pattern and I am loving it! There is just one slight issue, it keeps curving up the right side (I don’t know if that makes sense). Like the letter U except not that big of a dip (just a small dip). Since this is my first time making this type of pattern, I really don’t know how to fix it. I’m pretty sure you can’t use the straight edges technique because it will look weird right? I don’t know what else to do. Can someone please help?

The problem could be to do with the way you make your knots. If you make one type of knot tighter than the other it could cause the bracelet to curve.

I’m not 100% sure that’s what’s happening though. It could just be the pattern? Or maybe you just need more practice making 1212 patterns.

Thank you, I will try to experiment with knot tension and practice a bit more in the future. I’m sure your right, it makes sense.
