You would make the alpha like normal with a loop and you can just add a tassel to the top of the loop. Or you can tape the base strings down and just carefully start knotting and once you finish you can leave the strings or cut them, and it might help to seal the base strings if you cut them. You could use glue or clear nail polish. If that didn’t make sense I can try and explain it better. ❤️

just like you would do an alpha normally except you might want to do the ties differently (ex: maybe braids on both ends, a tassel on one end, etc)

When I do mine I leave the tiniest amount at the top possible and make my alpha or normal pattern then cute on all of the extra strings at the top and bottom. To make sure my knots stay in place I like to use clear nail polish and apply it.
