I just started making multi colored alphas and the bracelet kinda pops off of the background like a 3d effect and it doesn't look right how do i fix it

That could be a couple things: 1) it could be that you're using strings with two different thread counts, check your strings, if this is the issue the only way to fix it would be to start over with new string. 2) If you're using the same kind of threads than chances are you're either not 'locking' your strings (make sure when you switch colours that the next colour you bring in has the 'old' string between the bracelet and the new string) Otherwise you're essentially creating gaps, this can cause your knots to knot look attached and sometimes they may look like they're turning. or 3) when you're moving to your next section you're not pulling your string enough to make them sit flush with the background. If doing say a white section near the top of the bracelet and then not using white again until mid way, make sure you pull the string enough that your knots lay flush with the background before tying your new section.Hope that was helpful! |

By popping out do you mean like on the penguin on the alpha pattern button on the add/edit pattern page?
