It needs to be at least a wingspan if not more and also you might want to title your forums appropriately if you want people to read them and help you.

(Most people use at least a wingspan[from 1arm to the other] when cutting string. This can change based on the pattern however, you’ll get used to it as you do more bracelets

And @2006_Mandy it’s obvious that the persons first language isn’t english... maybe they don’t feel comfortable using English. They probably wanted people to understand what they meant and to not make a mistake in the title in the forum. And there are a lot of bilingual and non English speakers on here... there’s not a rule that it has to be in English...
