so i do the flat alpha technique, and when i do the subsequent fb or bf knots, it's fine, but when i get to the other side the string refuses to tie tight enough so that you can't see the string. i'm not sure if this makes sense, but hopefully you can help:/

You might be doing only one fb or bf knot and instead you should do fb fb or bf bf.

do not use the flat alpha method if there is a color change on the last knot of each row or if there is a color change on the first knot of each row. you can still do the straight edges technique but do the regular color switch method. that will ensure that you won’t have any string sticking out the side of your bracelet. hope that helps! 🙂

tye your nots carefully and dont do flat alpha color change on the edge.

Like someone above me said, make sure you do two bf knots on the right and two fb knots on the left
|
