If you are stuck on color combinations, you can always look at the colors that are used in the original pattern or the variations. Sometimes looking at the photos will help too. But if there aren't any variations or photos, a website called coolors.co can help you can up with some color combinations.

Summer themed: blue green black and white, or blue purple pink and yellow, or even sunsets, sometimes I go with a galaxy inspired theme based on who I’m making it for or why I’m making. I love ocean themes, fruit color themes and sunsets and flower colours too like a sunflower

I usually choose any colour I like and then try it as a variation to see if it’s going to work. If it works then I add it as a variation or change colours based on how it looks. But I love doing ombré shades. So going from dark to light of any colour or doing yellow, green, blue, red!

I like to look at pictures of bracelets other users have completed to see if any stick out to me. Otherwise you can use https://color.adobe.com/create/color-wheel to see what colors go well together. I will start by picking a color I know that I want to use and then see what colors the site suggests.
