Hi! So I have this issue when I make alphas where the pattern tends to get stretched out, especially when the patten is supposed to be circular (it ends up like an oval). I tried to look up a solution but all I got were non-answers. Do I need to make my knots tighter? Looser? Please help 🙁

After each row push the row straight up it might also be the way you decided to start it especially on a keychain. Also try knotting a little tigher maybe

alphas require a different knotting style compared to normal patterns, just because of the way the knots fit together. actually making the knots tight or loose doesnt really matter, that is up to personal preference. what really matters is how you position your knots (the first half of your knot). when tying the first half of your knot, make sure it is as high as possible, or as close as possible to the previous row. pushing up your knots does help to fix rows that weren't knotted very well, like @2006_Mandy suggested, but it shouldnt be necessary if you knot your bracelet well. hope this helps
