Hey I just wanted to let you guys know that if you have any questions about making bracelets, I'd be glad to help! You can post your questions here, but if I don't reply in like a day please message me! I can't say I'm perfect but I've been making bracelets for a long time and have learned a lot of tricks! 🙂

Hi. I have a few questions. When making the alpha pattern bracelets, how do you keep the rows straight? And also, how do you keep the bracelets from curling up? And what is the best way to knot the back ground string when they are needed to make a letter? Sorry i have so many questions. I'm new to alphas and I suck right now.

I usually tape my strings to my desk and I don't tie an overhand knot at the beginning. Then I just tie the knots against the edge of the tape and that keeps it straight. Also if you tie a few background rows before starting the pattern that helps so that the pattern stays even. To keep It from curling up I would recommend not tying your knots so tight (usually it's a problem caused by tension) but make sure not to tie too loosely. I recommend pulling lightly on the string to tighten the knot.. And I'm not sure i understand your last question.. Can you explain it to me?? 🙂

When tying a knot, sometimes the next string moves out of the knot made the row before.. I pull the string and the knot pops back in place but loosens the ties. Why does this happen and how can I prevent it? Thank you.

The first time I made a bracelet with a border it completely curled in, exposing the knots underneath. Perhaps a tension problem as well? Are the knots underneath suppose to look neat and tidy with normal patterns? Thank you.
