I need help with my alphas

Hey, so I've done a few alphas til now. I like doing them, but the thing that discourages me is at the end when they aren't flat. When you look at them from the side, they aren't straight, they're more like mountains. Some that I've done are less flat then others. I don't know what I'm doing wrong so if you have any idea or suggestion, I'd try it.

(I've tried holding the strings more straight when knotting, but it didn't help much)

I would say make sure you are doing the flat alpha technique. This won't guarantee that it will be flat though. When I first started making alphas they were bumpy even tho I was using the flat alpha technique. I figured out that it was because I was pulling the strings in the back way too tight when I was changing colors. So, when changing colors, make sure you make the first half of the knot pretty loose then make the second half as tight as you normally do. This made my alphas look significantly better. I hope this helps.
