Obviously for bracelets it doesn’t matter but for my keychains the backs are all messy and full of ugly looking strings. Does anyone know of a way that I can end my keychains with out all the ugly strings and knots on the back? Thanks 🖤

Do you mean alphas? For my alpha keychains I cut off my leading strings and then I just cut off the base string leaving a little bit at the bottom. You can look at my pictures for reference but I don’t show the backs

Yes I meant alphas. I mean when u finish a color I just tie them together on the back and it looks super ugly

Some people attach a piece of fabric to the back of their alphas maybe that’s something you could try? I hope this helps!

Or you could do one where there is a front and back and you see it together

Mandy I definitely want to do that for smaller ones but some of the ones Im making are pretty big and because of that and all the colors the back looks so bad

I was kind of wondering if I could just cut the strings if they’re not will hold or if they would unravel

You can definitely cut the strings on the back. I like to always cut mine as short as possible and I’ve never had a problem with them unraveling. But if you’re worried about it, you can put clear nail polish or glue on them just to be safe

For the alphas of you have a small amount of colors, (2 or 3) you can try the flat alpha technique, from Masha Knots' video 'Flat Alphas For Beginners' and instead of just trying to color switch for one string you're knotting on (which is what she did in her video) you can try knotting all of the strings as if you had to do the color switch. This probably doesn't make much sense without pictures or videos but I hope you understand! @Bones 🙂

This means knotting each knot with the other color inside it. This way, the back looks the same as the front, with no drags or cuttings! 🙂
