I've seen a few tutorials and theoretically know how to do it, but even after i secure the ties they won't stay twisted

I have had this problem when i started making the twisted ties too! This might not be correct but you are somehow making the knots that secure the ties wrong ☺️

I’d recommend making the ties after you finish the bracelet, and just save some strings on both sides

@nousername that's probably what it is! I'll try to make them better and thank you so much for answering!

Also I’d recommend twisting each side separately and then twisting them together the opposite way

Use the hair twisting thingy from dollarama it works way easier Han using your fingers to twist strings together

To make twisted ties, you divide the strings you would like to twist into two groups, twist (as much as you can without getting bumps in the twisted section) both the groups to the left, then cross the left group over the right group. Keep on doing this until you get twisted ties. To secure them, hold both of them together, and make one huge knot onto itself to secure. This way they should be fully secure. I hope this helps! 🙂

To keep them secure you could clip of tape them to your workspace.

I had this problem too, but it turned out that I was twisting the wrong way - make sure that in the beginning when you have separated all the strings into two groups and are twisting each group make sure that you twist them the same way, but when you are twisting both twisted halves together you twist them the opposite way than the way you twisted the two halves separately? Sorry if that makes no sense, I just reread this and it doesn't make that much sense but I couldn't really find a better way to explain it...
