I usually make normal patterns fine but when I try to make alphas my knots always come out looking so wonky even though I tie my knots super tight. It’s really annoying and idk what to do cause I think alphas are cool but mine always come out weird. Any ideas on how to fix that or just like help in general?

Perhaps try to use the “Straight edges technique” - Masha Knots has uploaded a tutorial. I also suggest you use the flat alpha technique if you aren’t already. Hope this helps! 😊

also, while you're knotting, once you finish a row, make sure that all of the knots for that row are in a straight line

it might also be the case that youre pulling your knots too tight. The key is even tension no matter how tight or loose. When you change string colours with your pattern it takes up a bit more width than just continuing with the same string. It you tie your knots a little looser your have enough wiggle room to move things around and make sure that that row is as straight as you can make it before doing the next.
