Sparkly thread keeps snapping!!

I am using a size 10 crochet thread that has a sparkle thread wrapped around it. Sometimes when I tie a knot with that string it snaps! I don’t know what to do. I insert it back in, but it keeps snapping. Are there any tips out there to help prevent this?

Well I dont really knot with yarn I do crochet and only use thicker yarn but try not pulling as hard and sometimes it’s the friction so try to not rub the strings too much

Make sure you don’t put too much pressure on the string when you pull it 😄
