Alpha is concave/bowl-shaped and won't lay flat

I'm doing #3087 (on line 28) and the bracelet is not laying flat. I think it is curving because I started with a teardrop and then a triangle start. Because the pattern is pretty wide, I started the first line before the triangle start was done/all of the base strings were separated from each other. The edges of the bracelet are slightly higher/smaller and they started to cause the bracelet to turn bowl-shaped. Is there a way to stretch or press or iron the bracelet so it lays flat? Thanks for reading! P.S. It will be a (quite large) zipper pull once finished.

Try placing it under heavy books for as long as it needs to, i find that helps.

i like to put it under my mattress for the night but i've had a lot of success with hair straighteners and irons as well. good luck!
