bumpy alphas, even with the flat alpha technique!

so i have been making a "wear a mask" key chain. and when i used the flat alpha technique, the flowers and leaves were still poking out! does anybody have any tips for me? if you do, that be SOOO helpful!!!!!

Hmm I’m not too sure how to help because I don’t experience that, but maybe try pull your knots tighter when you color switch?

Hmm yeah the only other thing I can think of is rewatching a tutorial for it to make sure you’re doing everything right or to see if there is something you could tweak

@Hk14 yeah. i didn't learn it correctly the first time, and the real technique just doesn't sit right with me, anymore. i do the color stitch right before you switch the colors. like right when a color ends. but it actually has been working for me, but this pattern in particular has been really hard to make. i always make like.. 2 color alphas. so i wanted to give a harder pattern a try! I'm also trying craft cord for the first time! that actually might be the problem. buuuuttttt..... in Masha's tutorial, she used craft cord. i really don't know what's wrong!

Oh well that might be why it’s not working, maybe try the original technique and see if that helps. Also I love that pattern!
