Hey! I kind of wondered if some of you have tips on 1212 patterns. Normal patterns turn out fine when I do them, the knots look relatively even and nice, but in 1212 patterns I have trouble positioning them right and getting them even and regular. I get holes between the knots or rows a little even thought I tie the first half of my knot tight. Are there any tips on how to get your 1212 pattern bracelets neater? 😊 🤔

I have the same issues all the time! However, I try to tighten my knots more which seems to be working 😊

Oh I see! Yes maybe I should try that too 🤔 but I feel like the pattern gets streched out then and gets longer (since the width of the bracelts gets smaller) and I feel like some designs look worse then. hmmm maybe I just have to find the happy medium! haha Thank you!

i just made a 1212 pattern not long ago and struggled with this a bit too.what helped was tying the knots slower and being more conscious of the placement of the knots (mainly because you don't really have the same flow that segment knotting has on "regular" bracelets). |

in general, that's one of the reasons that i don't really make 1212 patterns and prefer to make "regular" normal or alpha patterns.the image often doesn't come out quite the way that you think it would or the way that you wanted it too and that could be a bit discouraging after all the work you put into making the bracelet. |
