Strings popping out when I do knots!

Does anyone know how to stop strings from popping out when I do knots? this always happens to me and I don't know how to stop/fix it! Please help!

If you pull the string that makes the knot without pulling the string that you make the knots on or barely pulling it, the string might pop. So, just try holding both strings when you make a knot.

If the knot just won’t go back to the right color after pulling on it I wait till the next row and make sure everything is the right color then make the knot and it usually fixes it.

To fix it, pull the string that has been knotted onto (if that makes sense). This used to happen to me all the time, and I found that tying my knots a little looser (but not TOO loose) stops it from happening. It can also be caused by inconsistent knots, so make sure to pay attention to your knot tension and keep it consistent
