So I've have this problem with larger bracelets(mostly alphas). I usually begin my bracelets with a overhand knot, but all the knots in the first row get bunched up and just look bad. I was wondering what other ways can I start my bracelets so the beginning doesn't look as messy?

You can make buckles or you can section your strings and use multiple overhand knots so your first few rows aren't so bunched up.

Thanks 🙂 I'll be sure to try that on my next bracelet.

Also if you have a clipboard or tape, that works pretty well for starting off your bracelet. I use a clipboard and it has solved my similar problem 🙂

i usually make lark's head knots along a bar or stick or even safety pin, that usually stop them from bunching.

I used to always use an overhand knot however I had the same problem and the knots became uneven. I started just taping all the strings to my leg and tying the row right along the edge of the tape. You don't actually need an overhand knot on the beginning or end of a bracelet so I just braid the end stings when I'm done 🙂

I find it works best to tape the strings down until you've done a few rows, and then go back and braid them!
