what weight yarn should i use?

along with making bracelets, i love to crochet as well. in order to be able to save money and do both, i want to get some yarn for bracelets. but i am not sure what weight of yarn i should get in order to have knots the same size as ones with embroidery floss. thanks!

I just got some in a size 5! I've only used it in an alpha but it turned out great while also using normal thread 🙂

I’ve heard that 3 is too big, 10 is too small, and 5 is just right
