Not sure if this is off topic but I really want to fasten my bracelet the same as the one in my avatar. I know how to make a cord and how to make tassels but I can’t work out how to thread the cord through the bracelet and then twist it? It wouldn’t work and if I twist if first how do I thread it through the bracelet. Any ideas guys?

Well it looks like it is either sewn to the bracelet or those are the threads used for the bracelet

Hi poplianna, you could be right but I thought it looked as if the threads went through the bracelet, just can’t work out how to do that & twist the cord. It’s driving me nuts as I really want to get it the same.

The knots aren’t all the way down but I think it’s more likely that they are sewn on but if you can message the person who posted the photo maybe they can tell you

hey!!! this is what i do to most of my bracelets, actually!! (sorry if this is hard to understand, but i haven’t been in the community for long so i don’t know all the lingo!). Here’s how: after you finish off the bracelet, tie the end into a tassel just like the first. then, take some leftover string and tie a simple knot with that thread around the two tassels so that the bracelet is now secured together as you want it to be (think of the knot going on the tassels in the spot where the finished knot is in ur profile picture). From there, take the left side of the string and do a forward-backward knot around both tassels. Then, take the right string and do a backward-forward knot. The knots you make should be kind of tight, just so you can pull the tassels back and forth when you want to adjust the size. Repeat the forward-backward knots and backward-forward knots until you have the length you want. Once you’re satisfied, simply tie it off TIGHTLY by knotting the two loose ends together. TIGHTLY! you don’t want it falling off! and bam, it’s finished!I hope this helped and let me know if you have any questions/find a better method!!! |

@ rubybeatri thank you very much but i also use that method of fastening quite a bit, it’s how to attach the cords through each end of the bracelet and twist it to form the cord that I can’t get my head around.
