im not sure if its bc I am not tying tight enough but at the very start of my bracelet, after the loop my knots aren't as close together, which leaves small gaps. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to fix that or help with it

when tying your knots make sure the first half of the knot is tight the second half secures the knot in place hope that helped 😊

keep your knots consistently tight by making sure your first half of the knot is tight and snug and your second half gently secures the first half. also if the gaps are so small that they can only be seen under a light that is perfectly normal! 🙂

@arf820 thank you I will try to do that, the gaps are a bit more spaced out for like the first 3-4 rows but then they become normal and tight, but ill try to tie the first knot tighter

I don’t know what type of loop you make but I would try looking at MashaKnots tutorial on teardrop loops. I had that problem before I started using that method for beginning loops and I find that it makes starting a bracelet so much easier and neater and it will help with the gaps!

@zobear123 gaps appear when your knots are too tight or too far apart. So you need to kinda find that happy medium where your knots are fairly tight but somewhat loose at the same time. The first half of your knot should be firmly snug and as close to the ones above it as possible. The second half of the knot should be a little bit looser but just enough to make it look full! Full knots eliminate gaps and they will also become more even and consistent!
