Alpha's Get Wider

So I have only made a few alphas, but every time i do, wherever the pattern gets complicated it gets wider.I am using the flat technique so they don't stick up, they just get a lot wider. Does anyone have any tips? |

For some people the flat alpha technique works best while for others the regular technique works best. You might want to try out which one works best for you.In general I'd say you have to try to always have the same tightness when making knots. Make sure all the knots in a row are close together even if you just switched colours. |

to second what @halokiwi said, while switching strings the tendency is for knots to get looser, so just being conscious of getting those tight enough should help. Also, you can push the knots together as you go with your fingernails. I personally prefer the flat alpha technique, but you might have to knot tighter than you’re used to.

The best thing to do is just practice, and play around with it to find what works for you!🥰
