Any tips on making/ tying bracelets faster? I' currently working on pattern #31525 for Masha's AKA @Racoon 's challenge. I started right at the beginning (9th of June) and It's *still* not done yet (I have to maybe 3 more heart thingy's?). This is downright annoying, even though it is fairly relaxing and fun. I want to start a new bracelet, a new style, but I really want to admire my finished bracelet.

Do any of you have any advice on typing faster without making too many mistakes? Or any tips? Thanks!!

Have you tried segment knotting or fanning your strings like Masha knots does

i recommend segment knotting if you haven’t been doing that already. also if you watch a show or listen to music or a podcast while you knot that can make the process go a lot faster. it also just takes practice to tie faster without mistakes. the more practice you have with knotting, the faster the process of making bracelets will get. i hope that helps🙂

I think this pattern is perfect for starting segment knotting because it's a lot like the chevron. You can basically knot it in the same shape you'd knot a chevron in (v shape) and just follow the knots actually in the pattern. You could print the pattern out or take a screenshot and draw the v shapes into the pattern to not get confused.

@namitiddies @arf820 @halokiwi Yes, I am segment knotting, and yes, I am familiar with the segment knotting method. I use it most of the times, but I still am SO slow while knotting idk why.

Sorry if I sound rude or anything

For normal patterns you can use segment knotted to speed up the process but for alphas the only way to get better at knotting is to practice.

I too was very very slow at the beginning. If you are already segment knoting that the rest is really up to muscle memory and practice. Sorry i know that doesnt help solve your issues quickly it just takes practice 😊

Here are some things that I've found have helped me out:
- My knotting speed depends on how focused I am on the bracelet.
- I've also found that memorizing the pattern helps.
- Another thing is, I use Masha Knot's technique of putting the strings in between your fingers and knotting down the line onto them. (I don't think I explained that too well, but she has it in a bracelet hacks video) It took me a while to get used to knotting this way, but now I find that this hack makes me knot faster and the strings don't get tangled between each knot
- If it's actually making the individual knots that is slowing you down, maybe you should try to figure out a different way to make your knots. There are plenty of youtube videos that you could watch to compare different ways to make knots and test out to see which works best for you
Hope this is helpful and happy knotting! 😄

I find that how fast I knot depends on what mood I'm in. I personally have become quite fast by setting small goals. Even if it's just like a row during each song played, it really really helps. I would also recommend having multiple bracelets going at the same time because once you get bored of one bracelet you can just work on the other one.

Are you doing row by row? If you are, segment knotting will be a million times faster.( and more enjoyable)

I like to watch Masha knots real time knotting videos while I make my bracelets and I’ve noticed that I sometimes make bracelets faster when I’m watching other ppl knot. And it’s very nice and relaxing to be able to listen to her just chatting 😌.
