I just started my first alpha bracelet, a 3-colored pattern with 17 strings. I tried using my clipboard for it as I usually do with my other bracelets, but it really is too many strings to keep track of, and everything's getting mixed up. I ended up taping each string to the wall and working on it (didn't work... lasted for two rows and then quit -__-). What do you guys use for your thicker alpha bracelets??

I clip a binder clip to a hardcover children’s book (but anything that’s clipboard-shaped would work) and it actually holds way better than a clipboard does. Are you having trouble keeping the bracelet from slipping, or is it a matter of keeping track of the strings?

I use duct tape and tape it onto a surface, or mostly for smaller bracelets under 20 base strings I also use my clipboard. You can try taping it onto a surface, that might help, but the first row of knots might end up finding themselves half-underneath the tape 😂 (because when you pull up it pushes the tape)

I usually spread the strings on a hard cover surface and secure it with 2 layers of duct tape. hope this helps

My issue is keeping track of all the strings, but I found that they naturally arrange themselves in order after I finish the first 2-3 rows, so now I'm just using my good old clipboard for it :')

I use a clipboard as well, and what I do is either do a triangle end, which naturally separates your strings, or tape them down beside each other so that they are all under a little bit of tape... that way it comes out flat and straight. After a couple rows I move it under my clipboard

i atcually find that making a triangle start with a loop makes it a lot eaiser because by the time your doing your pattern the strings are all spaced out and it gives your clip board something to grasp onto hope this helped

I normally do a loop at the beginning and put a safety pin through the pillow, then through the pillow while under the loop, and then put the loop and through the pillow again (sry if that didn’t make sense )

Or I tie a knot where I want and do a braid with the string before the knot and then do the safety pin after the knot that I tied in the beginning
