I have tried to learn the straight edges thing too and it made no sense to me. My only tip is to make sure you keep the edge knots tight. Hope that helps a little! -Meghan_J24

I have written a tutorial on the straight edges technique. Maybe that's easier to understand. You can find it in the tutorial section.

the straight edges technique is a great technique, but the biggest thing that keeps your bracelets from being wonky is knot tension. even with the straight edges technique you can still end up with a wonky bracelet if your knot tension is not consistent. I would recommend working on that, then using the straight edges technique if you still feel it necessary. the straight edges technique just prevents string from going out beyond the edge of the bracelet, basically to keep the edge flat and not bumpy. it doesnt necessarily keep the bracelet straight. hope this helps.

How do you secure your bracelets? For me, my edges tend to be more wonky when I use a safety pin instead of a clipboard or tape
