Flat Alpha Technique On Upside Down Alphas?

so I’ve never made an upside down alpha but i want to in the future, could i still do the flat alpha technique but with the upside down knots?

I believe so, but I’ve never tried it myself personally. Maybe try it on a small alpha or a keychain using the technique and see if it works, if not then you got your answer! Good luck! Let me know how it goes!! 😊

unfortunately, you can't use the flat alpha technique on upside down alphas. the flat alpha technique involves threading the previous leading string through the knot of the new leading string. but since making upside down alphas is basically making the knots on the back side of the bracelet, you would have to use the flat alpha technique upside down as well. I don't think that it is really even necessary to use the flat alpha technique when making upside down alphas, just because of the way they are made. I don't think that its possible for the knots to stick up when they are made onto the back side of the bracelet. yes, the backside might be not completely flat, but that doesnt matter because the backside of alphas never look tht great. hope this helps.just so you know, I've never actually made an upside down alpha, I'm just basing this off of what I have seen and everything I know about making bracelets in general. |
