if you have ever made an alpha before, you can measure how many rows make up a unit of measure, for example an inch. i know that for me, about 12 rows of an alpha makes about an inch of bracelet

The best way to estimate is to check the pattern. At the top it will say 16x40 or something like that and that can help you estimate the amount of string you need, and the length of the bracelet

Like another person said, you can look at a finished alpha bracelet you’ve made and measure to get the ratio. If you can’t do that, then you can estimate around 1.5mm per knot (2mm if you want to be generous) and then multiply that by the number of rows

My knots are very tight, so 6 rows make 1 cm. Use the dimensions! If its 60 rows long, then for me it will be 10 cm!

Because the base strings don't get shorter, just measure how long it will go around your wrist
