So, my problem is this, the last knot of a row is orange and the next row begins with a white, how do I do the change of colors on the edges of an alpha?Example: a-a-a-a-b-b-b b-b-b-a-b-b-c |

it is the same! if you are doing the flat alpha style, don't do a flat alpha colour change. this causes the string to poke through on the outside. if you havn't started you could always add a border

also you can leave a longer tail at the edge so you can tuck it behind some of the other strings on the back of the bracelet!

for color changes on the edge, the flat alpha technique won’t work. if you do the flat alpha technique on the edge, the string you put up and over will stick out and be visible. so just do the regular substitution method. take the string you are needing to change, tie the last knot, and put it under the bracelet. and then take your new leading string out from behind your bracelet, make the first knot of the next row, and continue knotting 🙂

one thing i do frequently to still secure the string at the end is that for the last knot, i knot the first half of the new knot with the new leading string around only the base string, and then the second half around the base string AND the old leading string. it works really well!

Leave the end bit a bit longer then I like to glue it down with fabric glue
