When I'm making alphas the sides of my rows always curve up so instead of it being a straight line its more of a "U" shape. This especially happens when I use the straight edges technique and it's so frustrating! someone please help >w<

make sure to do a knot at the end of each row! for example, on the right edge, you would do a fb knot to end the row, and then do another one to start the next row. i have seen people try to do only one fb knot and it makes the U shape, so that might be it!

if not that, make sure to hold the base string straight down while you knot onto it, that can help too!

it helps me to use a binder clip or clip board and keep it as close to where i’m tying the bracelet as possible which seems to help me get my rows straighter!

What @knottahti said! I was having the same problem - only doing one f/b or b/f knot at the end of each row, and I was getting the U-shape you describe. I followed what @knottahti said and the problem is gone!
