Hi again yall😂 so I just finished making the teardrop loop off of Masha Knots video. At the end she explains that you can just keep going and have it kind of be diagonal or just knot how you like to get it to be horizontal. Do any of you guy know how to make it horizontal without making the bracelet look like crap? Or will the bracelet even out throughout the process of me going through it?

so from what i gather, you are trying to do this pattern row by row if you just want to start it in a horizontal line? if you are trying to knot it row by row yes, start it in a horizontal line and make sure you tie your knots tight. even if the first row looks like crap, it will even out as you continue knotting the pattern. hope that helps!

When working horizontally from a teardrop loop, you could either work on one side of the loop at a time or you could go row-by-row and so work on both sides at the same time. Either way, you would start by making the first knot with the two outermost strings on one side of the loop. On the next row you would do the next knot that comes off of the first knot. After that, you do the two knots that come off of that knot. You continue by doing the few knots of each row that are connected to the previous knots.

If you work on one side and then the other, you would complete the first side up until the last row that involves a new string from the loop. Then complete the other side the same way. The next row that you do normally should connect the two sides.
If you work on the two sides at the same time, you should eventually get to the same point.

Either way should work, but if you're worried about the two sides being wonky then I'd try working on the two sides at the same time. If you do the sides one at a time and your knot tension changes from one side to the next, that can make the bracelet a bit wonky.

Wow, that was a lot of info - I hope this helps!

@m3rmaidv that helped!! So basically it won’t look diagonal when I start knotting it, it’ll just be seperated by the loop until it joins at the end of the loop?

@Phoebes Yes 👍 It'll be like there is a hole in your pattern which is missing the knots in the triangular portion omitted by the loop
