any tips for switching colors on the very edges of alphas? my bracelets have a tendency to not turn out straight when i do so.

if you are using the flat alpha technique, don't use it on the last not even if you are switching colours. Your threads will stick out the sides otherwise. otherwise, just try to make your knots as even as possible and tie them tight. I hope this helps! if not feel free to message me, I can go into further detail about what I mean there 🙂

The straight edges technique might also help to keep your edges straighter. But I think the most important thing is like the previous person said to do the regular colour switch instead of the flat alpha colour switch.

I normally use the straight edges technique and flat alpha but on the edge I don’t do the flat alpha switch as you will have a string poking out the side although some people do do it

i have figured out a modified was to do the flat alpha technique on the edges, and it works really well for me. instead of putting the old leading string across the first half of the knot (making it stick out on the side) i instead tie the second half of the new knot around BOTH the base string and the old leading string. it works really well for me!

@stacey_135 @halokiwi @claireb67 i would strongly recommend trying it if you usually use the flat alpha technique 🙂 it makes the edges very smooth for me !!!
