My alphas are always puffy even after I use the flat alpha technique I watched and rewatched the video but I still can’t figure out what I am doing wrong. Is this normal or did mess it up? |

The flat alpha technique isn't really working for me either :/ I just stick with the regular alpha technique because I'm comfortable doing that one.I think it might be a practice thing. Maybe try a small pattern with not so many colour switches. |

the flat alpha technique helps the switch of colors be more smooth, but it does not really fix the issue of bunching up your middle knots. when you have a color that goes from one side of the bracelet to the other (for example a background color) make sure you do not pull it too tight across the back. if you do not keep the loose strings , well , loose. it will bunch up all of your knots in the front. to try and smooth it out, you can cut the loose strings in the back that bridge across the bracelet, and you will see it flatten out!

the flat alpha technique makes it harder for this bunching to happen because the strings are “locked” between each other, but if you pull way too tight across the back it doesn’t do much to help

Thank you cutting off the strings from the back really helped.
