ive done 9 fishbone chevron and its like halfway through they start to become kind of crooked, do you guys have any tips on that? i always tape them down

its like on the sides they start to shift to a certain side, all my knots are straight though

That happened to a candy stripe i made. Try shifting each row you make. To prevent this, try using the straight edge technique, tutorial by masha knots!

Make sure you don't pull the bracelet to the side when knotting it. Always pull it straight down. If you pull it to the side over time it will become crooked.Try making the knots with a consistent tightness. Sometimes it can happen that you make different knots differently tight so pay close attention to how tight you tie your knots. The first half of the knot determines its tightness. The second half secures it in place. Make sure the string you're knotting onto is held tight. The straight edges technique might help a little bit but if you don't solve the underlying issues the bracelet will still be crooked. The straight edges technique in my opinion is almost solely aesthetical. It makes the edges appear a certain way but it doesn't affect the overall structure of the bracelet. @Shelly2121 |
