Multiple Colors on Alpha

How does one use more than two colors on an alpha bracelet? I have noticed, on patterns using more than two colors, string is added in the middle of the bracelet (when it is a new color) and sometimes weaved back out again. Are there videos for this specific technique? I have only attempted alpha bracelets with two colors and would like to expand my knowledge. Any tips would be helpful and appreciated 🙂

i recommend watching masha knots’s videos on alphas. she has one where she does the regular substitution method and one where she does the flat alpha method. but in general to add in a new color, tape your new color down to your workspace and knot it in to your alpha, putting your old leading string behind the bracelet. that’s the regular substitution method. the flat alpha method is a little harder to explain. you tape your new leading string to your workspace and do the first knot. then you put that string up and over the bracelet. you put your old leading string across the bracelet. then with youe

sorry hit send before i finished typing😂 as i was saying.... then with your new leading string you do the second half of the knot over your old leading string. i know that probably sounds very confusing but it is actually a very simple method once you get the hang of it. again watching masha knot’s two videos on alphas will help a lot because she gives a very clear visual with a very clear explanation.
