I really like starting my bracelets with a teardrop loop, but I'm confused on how to do that with patterns that have colors all on one side or a pattern with an odd number of strings? For example, how do I make a teardrop loop with patterns like these? #35269 #34496 #37731 #36983 |

If you need all strings of one colour on one side you fold all the strings you need on one side, then you pull the strings from the other side through the fold and fold them as well. This way both sides should be connected. You can make the loop like you usually would. For an uneven number you need to make one string double the length. You split that string into two strings by untwisting it. You only need one half. You fold it in half an use it in the loop like you usually would. While knotting you treat these two halves as one string. |

What I do is I fold all my string in half excluding the odd string. Then I put about an inch of the odd string onto the left side of the fold, so when I make the loop there will be a tail of the odd string on the other side of the loop. So you make your loop, then when you start knotting You would act as if the tail and your first string were one so the tail gets knitted in. Then once you complete the row you can cut the tail.

I believe you take half of the individual strands out of your single color piece (since embroidery floss is made up of multiple strands) and then double your string over so the thickness will be as it normally would. This would mean this string needs to be double in length when you cut it
