Everytime I change the main string while making an alpha (i use the flat alpha technique), the knot looks tilted and like it's leaning back... the pattern ends up looking a little strange. When the pattern has a straight line it just looks wavy in the bracelet. Any advice??

Keep your knots consisten, maybe your not pulling the knots consistently enough so the bracelet looks a bit tilted.

also, in addition to keeping your knots consistent, try not to use strings of different thicknesses in alphas because that can contribute to the waviness in your bracelet. i’ve learned that rule the hard way!

Make sure you are tying the knots with the same tension and remember that the first part of the knot has to be tight or the whole knot will be loose. You can push up your knots, so they look neater, too. Remember to have all of your strings be the same thickness.
