Not flat alphas - Help!

So im good at making normal patterns bracelets but i'm trying alpha patterns now 🙁 the problem is: they don't come out flat at all! The second color (i mean not the lead one) makes my bracelets "uneven", is it normal? Do you have any tips? Also some easy alpha patterns suggestions for beginners would be helpful! Thank you!

I use the technique masha knots had in her alpha tutorial. They don’t turn out completely flat do there’s a lot of colours but if there’s a few then they r flat. She has two tutorials, both with the same bracelet but the more recent one is the one with the straight edge and flat alpha technique

@MoonCactus it is normal unless you are using flat alpha technique.
