Does anybody else not complete a bracelet or start one because they are a perfectionist and think that it is not or won’t be good enough? I’m too nervous to start making alphas because I want them to be so perfect and I know they won’t be right off the bat 😫 |

Ik how you feel!! I was hesitant to start making alphas bc I didn't want to do a cute pattern and then have the key chain I made look bad. Once I started making alphas, I couldn't stop and now I'm trying to improve them.

@allierae54 I just don’t want to ‘waste’ so much time and string just for it to be ugly 😂👏🏼 now I know that it’s not necessarily a waste because of practice... but I’m sure you know what I mean

it is good to practice your first alphas with 1) string you never use or don’t like and 2) scrap string from other old bracelets that you have (hopefully) saved

Just have a go at them even if they don’t turn out great keep going and they will soon get better! it’s totally okay to have some bracelets not perfect.

Just take you time, and even your first alpha will be pretty. I am exactly like you I've been putting off alphas for a really long time. So, I challenged myself to start one I like, and make it slowly so it would look good. Beforehand, I watched 2 videos of Masha Knots on the flat alpha technique and straight edge. And jumped into my first pattern, I posted a photo on my profile it's the bees with a purple background. 😊 I hope it helped

It happens all the time to me. When im doing calligraphy, making origami, painting, bracelets................What i do os that i practice. Im sure everyone has thread or yarn in there house so i use that to practice knots. |

I mean I started out and they looked bad and I didn’t care but now I’m into it and care a lot there is one I really hate but I sent in a picture bc it was a challenge once I sent in the picture I cut it up 😂😂
