How do you make a variation of a pattern?

When you click on a pattern, you will see a menu at the top. There are three big orange buttons, one of the has 'add variation' on it. You click on that one and it brings you to the pattern creator, just without the ability to change the knot structure. Then you just click on the colored buttons with the numbers and letters and it will open a color picker. You can also manually type in the hex code into those boxes. Hope I helped.

It gives an option to save and test it to see if it looks alright, then if you want to, you can submit it! I normally use it to see what colors go well together ๐
