I know how to make a loop but I’m having trouble with how big to make them. How do you determine how many knots/how long to make the loop? I feel like my last loop was too small but my current one is too big.

I usually just start knotting and periodically bend it into a semi circle to approximate how big the loop will be.

i cut the string that i’m using to knot the loop considerably longer than my other strings. when i knot the loop i not only bend the loop to see how big it is but i also check the string i’m knotting with to see how much longer it is compared to the other strings. when the string is the same length as the other strings the loop is usually big enough for me. i don’t have a set number of knots that i make for the loop and i don’t have a set length of string for the string i’m knotting with. hope that helps! 🙂

It depends for everyone, personally I like my loops very small so I bend it to see how it will look in a triangle ends for examples( this techniques adds a little bit to the loop when it’s two triangle which makes it bigger) you can try many length for your loop and with time you will find the one you prefer 😊

I do 30-40 (tight) knots to create my loop 🙂
