i knot pretty tight as well and for an alpha 70 rows is about 5 inches for me

@dimondgirl Well,I usually cut 3 feet and the bracelet end up being 5 inches with about 2 inches for ties. Hope this helps!

I usually cut my wingspan if I’m making a loop, but if I do a knotted loop, I cut extra of that color.

I use half of my wingspan or a meter if there is no loop, my full wingspan or 2 meters for a knotted loop, 2 meters and 15 inches for a single colored loop , and if i will do braided/twisted ends on one side, i add 4 inches but if i will use it on both i add 8 inches. Hope it helps
