Triangle start question

Hi! So I just have a quick question, so for this pattern #26816, I'm planning on splitting the triangles and making them in two sides. So where the white border begins on the pattern (the top corners cut off and a part of the middle) And on the left and right side there is a knot at the top, I'm just wondering if I have to make that knot when I bring the strings over to their appropriate sides. Or do I just bring the strings over and go about it. I'm assuming I make the knot, since when I actually start knotting it'll be more of a triangle. Thanks in advanced for the help! 26816 |

If I understand your question correctly, you just split them in half and start doing the triangles on the two sides👍🏼

So you don’t need to do the knot at the top, just pretend it’s a normal triangle end
