Is there any way of adding more base string in alphas to make it longer?

Hi, I am currently knotting alpha pattern #14145 and I’m running out of base strings (they’re getting too short). I’ve had a quick look on YouTube and google and on here but I can’t seem to find anything. Does anyone have any advice on replacing the strings neatly or what I could do to add ties/an ending without having enough string? Thank you x

Don’t do all in the same row, but add in a new string, place it behind the bracelet, and knot as if it were the previous string. Do a few rows to stabilize, and do another. Hope this helps 😄

What I do is lay one string by the one I need to lengthen and carefully keep tying rows on. It's very tedious but it works!

Thank you aha, I decided on my particular bracelet I was working on to add crimp ends but I’m gonna keep both these in mind for next time this issue comes up xx

I totally agree with Sarah... tying in strings is quite easy and works better if you switch gradually.
