Hi, i'm practising the technique of adding 2 extra strings to make the edge straighter. However, i don't know for sure what the mistake is because my edges still haven't been straight enough as some photos shown here. I can see that some of you have extremely straight bracelets. May I ask what the problem is if i've done exactly what's shown in MashaKnots' video? Does that also depend on how much you guys have practiced? Thanks so much ❤️ |

Some times is consistent knots sizes. On one of my bracelets I was using that technique and got lazy and my knots changed and the bracelet started to go wonky.

I'd say it comes down to tension, so try have an even tension throughout the entire bracelet. Sometimes people find if you pull the string you are knotting onto on both edges straight down when making and pulling the knot it helps to make it straighter, so you could try that? (If you haven't already). With me, when I tried out the Straight Edges Technique for the first time it took me about 3 bracelets for it to look 'right' and for me to be happy with it. So I guess practicing the technique and finding ways to make it work for you plays a part too. |

@Someone_ thanks for your idea. I've tried what you've mentioned already but still it didn't look satisfied enough, maybe i will practice more on that to have a "right look" as yours. Hopefully practice will make it perfect. Once again thanks for your help ❤️

To get your bracelet straighter also make sure you're not pulling it to the side when knotting. Pull the strings you're knotting onto straight down.
